I was looking into purchasing a beverage air kegerator for home use. Looking for some feedback whether or not if these units are worth the price. I'm a first time home brewer looking for a solid kegerator. Thanks everyone!!
Can't go wrong with the bev air. Won't have to worry about tinkering with fans , resistors or other fluff..
If you want the + over the lesser brands out there: - s/s top with built in drain -s/s interior floor( galvanized walls) - cold air circulation with a blower hose to chill tower(vs gravity coil on lesser brands) -larger compressor to keep the beer cold enough with out foaming issues - 3 year warranty parts and labor & 5 compressor warranty
some people complain that Bev Air is too loud for home use. in a basement bar not an issue. in the kitchen could be. other than that you are paying a lot for a commercial appliance. and it's not some routine gimmick where they slap a label that says "Professional Series" on to a plain vanilla household appliance. you really don't need a Bev Air in your home. it's nice. there are plenty of very good household kegerators that cost a lot less. a Honda is great but people still buy Porsche. if you have the budget get one. Cheers.
really, we both know that my opinion and knowledge of draft beer is questionable in your estimation. or you're not so sure yourself. either way, you appear to have a list that begins and ends with Bev Air, so what is the point? not to mention the all too familiar problem with reading comprehension. now I know there is only one brand of kegerator for everyone. thanks for the contribution! Cheers
Sorry wasn't meant to sound condescending. Just he asked about bev air. I think it's worth the extra money. I could of purchased cheaper units but rather sat it out till I found one. Cheers...
I used the same strategy ... I waited a bit longer until I could buy the bev air. It looks like a piece of furniture!
