Hey all - looking for good bars around Beverly Hills for this weekend. Places that have great locals or regional beers that I wouldn't know about (I'm visiting).

Any recs for places close by? And great local ipas I should be on the lookout for? Other breweries?

I'd swing over to Vendome Beverly Hills for sure. Would also get yourself to West Hollywood and hit up Surly Goat -- one of the city's best beer bars, and not overly far from BH.

Thanks guys. I went to the surly goat website and it looked like they only had 2 taps - is that right?

And I see Vendome but to be clear I'm really looking for bars...not shops

My 3 Breweries should all have food. I havent been to Eagle Rock, but I hear good things.

Fathers office has an awesome burger and a very good selection of beers. Same with Kings row

I would add Beer Belly to the list of beer bars.

There's nothing in Beverly hills. You're best bet for bars is to drive to Father's Office Helms, Surly Goat, Beer Belly, or Blue Palms

No, it's not right. When I just looked, there were 27, including Pliny and BCBBW (!)

I think several of us will respectfully disagree with the Golden Road recommendation.

Well... Golden Road doesn't have a wide range of taps but I always have a good time with friends there. You can try Mohawk Bend (Echo Park) in lieu of Golden Road.

Ive always had a great time at golden road, so I do disagree. Not the best beers, but friendly people, good memories.

    This

On occasion, they will have something good from another brewery but that's far and few between.

You've never been to a place because its centrally located for your beer buds? Never said they had bad beers, just not the best beers

It's kinda like going to a Kenny G concert when you really just wanna see Sonny Rollins.
