Great to hear from you! I purged my messages and lost your info to follow up and see how you liked it. So glad you did!

Just cracked open the coconut and man was it fantastic. Thanks again @bevoduz. I might have to open the cherry tonight too. [IMG]

Cherry was awesome too. I think I like the coconut better which was opposite of how I thought it would go down. Gonna keep my last two and do a reg, coffee, and these side by side.

He needs a keg of BCBS for it to work so if you find that we'll get it to him :grinning:

I actually wonder how true this is; I don't see why dumping a ton of bottles into a corny keg would be any different, more expensive probably, but I doubt the process would work any differently. Any more experienced homebrewers than I, and @bevoduz of course, feel free to chime in.

    Extreme concern for oxidation!

Given that you fill the corny as much as you would have after splitting a sixtel, how is it any different? The act of pouring vs tubing to do the transfer? As long as you purge the corny with CO2 the O2 exposure seems minimal to me. But again, this may just be my lack of experience showing.

Everything I've read on it is don't do it. In theory, purge it with co2 and it might work, but it's not worth the risk with a beer that expensive.

That's a pretty solid point. We could give it a go with a less costly BA Stout, say Dragon's Milk, if that works then move on to BCBS? Or maybe I'm just overthinking it and we really just need to find another keg....

We need to find another keg. I did it with a buddy when his homebrew that didn't bottle carb, and though I didn't notice any oxidation when we rebottled it, I didn't taste it after that. Not worth the risk, just need a keg (or a good clone recipe).

I'll open a kickstarter for ya'll to fund ingredients while I hammer out batch after batch trying to get it right

I took my latest batch of liquid Mounds bar and racked it into the keg that held the Bcbs with Coconut. I added in some more freshly toasted Coconut too for good measure.

As I hoped, there was enough Bcbs left soaked into the leftover Coconut to give mine the barrel agedness it needed.

I did them side by side last night and couldn't tell much difference.

Soooooo.... I'm going to be blending the last 2 gallons of Bcbs with Coconut with my 8 gallons and should end up with 10 gallons of pure awesomeness. It will be available to those that are interested when it's ready.
