Made my first BIAB batch last weekend. Not sure how to clean the bag ... I don't think I want to throw it in with my laundry, right? Maybe use something like "1 Step" cleaner and hand-wash in the sink?

Appreciate any help with this silly question.

I've never waited more than a few mins to clean mine but I just spray the crap out of mine immediately after it cools and let it air dry. 6 batches in and no issues

Not that I am full "BIAB" yet, but for my partial mashings, I rinse it really well and give it a few good shakes out side. Usually done within 10 to 15 minutes of dumping my grains.

I rinse mine then throw it in the washer and use the "low" water cycle and no detergent. Bag comes out like new.

I've done about 50 batches with a brew bag. I did BIAB for about 15 and now I line my mash tun with a BIAB bag for easy clean up. I just throw the empty bag in the wash with the water temp on hot without any soap. Works fine, just hang to dry after and shake out the grain husks

I rinse with water as soon after use as I remember. If it smells bad when it dries, I figure that means there are some residues and bugs on it, and I'll dunk it in some boiling water to kill (overkill?) them. When it dries , there might be some bits of grain to shake off.

I rinse thoroughly with water from a hose right after the mash (during the boil) and air dry.

I just did my first BIAB this past Saturday. After dumping the grains I rinsed well with the water hose & showed it to my wife, who gave me the OK to put in the washing machine.

After cleaning with hot water, I rinse my bag in Star San to make sure any of the residual sugars, that may still be soaked into the bag and cant be seen, don't encourage yeast or bacterial growth before I use it again.
