How have your experiences been with this particular location? I went for the first time this afternoon, and it was pretty disappointing. I was super happy to see a place with Le Castor's Yakima IPA regularly on tap. After being told the tap wasn't working for it, I was directed to try their Session IPA. Not terrible... but I felt somewhat shafted when I realized the price was exactly the same, and that a session beer was only served in a 14 oz glass. My second drink was a DDC Moralite, which of course was fine. However, and this is what pissed me off, I was short-poured on both of my drinks, and a full third of it was pure head. Is this a common occurrence? I've never been short-poured before, so I was a bit surprised. I won't be going back regardless, but I was just curious to see if anyone else had been short-poured at Bier Markt.

I have never gotten what I would deem 'stellar' service there. I have been forgotten about a few times and they seem to kick kegs of the featured beers with some regularity. That said, I don't think I have been short-poured. I agree that the prices are a bit steep (especially on the food), but honestly when I go it is usually to drink stuff that you can't otherwise get here. The local stuff (although great on tap) I will usually pick up at a store.

Never been short poured. Service seems ok. Agree with Doc, I go for Intl taps, not local ones.

I went there while in Montreal about a week after you were there. I had 6 beer, but two were in bottles so they can't short pour that. The other four, Paulaner weisbier, Goose Island Honkers Ale, also a Moralite, and Le Trou de Diable Tracteur Saison draft were all full pours. I had a regular server but another one also checked in on me too. I guess it all depends on the server. They were pretty busy and I was there for a long time but service seemed good.
