Are there any shops/online retailers etc. that would ship Bierstadt cans out of state? Seems like it's not permitted in Colorado per my quick google search but maybe I'm missing something?
There was a company that was shipping colorado beers... I don't recall the name though. It's easy enough to trade for as well.
It’s Beer Drop, but looks like they currently only have Slow Pour. https://www.beerdrop.com/breweries/bierstadt-lagerhaus.html
Has anyone used it? Slow pour pils is listed currently but I get "quantity unavailable" when I try to add it; maybe it comes and goes quickly? Also assuming I could do a one time order rather than a subscription? Def going to look into it; thanks for the tip!
I believe they do one time orders. I will say that sometimes their beers sell out. I took for granted that they are easy to get, and then couldn't find the Dunkel for a trade I set up. I sent the winterbock instead. Such is life.
Feels like the dunkel is more of a rotator than the hell and pils. It's only occasionally available in stores and it's brewed less frequently than those two. I guess that's true authenticity since dunkels have taken a backset in Bavaria for a bit, too.
Prefer to avoid the hassle of packing up & shipping stuff tho. And its nigh impossible to trade for Bierstadt stuff IP in MN
Never heard of them being on Tavour. I could be speaking out of turn, but I don't the Bierstadt gives a damn about out of area distro. Shit, it was only because of covid that they started canning to begin with. Cans are scarce in the Denver metro area compared to other breweries locally. Find tou someone to do a $4$. Bierestadt isn't going to pull down whales, you surely have something to offer.
Yep, I do. And I get all that, but tbh I find shipping trades kind of a hassle & a little stressful. + would love to get Bierstadt stuff semi regularly as I'm definitely a fan. Thinking I'll just wait for restocks on beerdrop. Thanks for the input tho
There are people that trade crates and crates of Bierstadt cans for other similar items elsewhere. 1 to 1 trades are pretty common. Not sure where you're at in MN, but I bet you could potentially even trade 12oz New Glarus bottles/cans for 16oz Bierstadt cans. If WI is a haul, I bet some of the trendy stuff coming out of the Twin Cities would be solid trade bait, too.
