Last month, there was a BIF thrown out there by a newer BA.. To be honest, I took part on a whim, ended up winning... The reason the BIF was started was to earn some trade credit and get his own going... We exchanged a few emails, shipment became delayed due to T-giving and such...but then, have not heard from the party in a long time. To be honest, free beer is free beer - so I went in with no expectations... I've pretty much given up on the fact that box isn't coming which is fine... Just wasn't sure thoughts on whether or not the BIFer should be tossed out and added to Santa's naughty list? Just curious-
This all sounds like a LIF. And yes if he promised beer and didn't ship it, it's naughty list in most peoples books.

Lif, yes...mistype... was looking for feedback in general.. sorry. Last email exchange bout a month ago...I've beermailed, not received response but he has logged on a few times since...was chalking it up to family and holiday stuff keeping busy people busy....eithe way...I send enough time on here, wasn't sure what sort of timeline expectations one should have while at the same time trying to be helpful to a noob (as we were all one since)...
Note - did not declare this a dick move..just wasn't sure how long things should go before a person should be forewarned against..I'm all for too much communication rather than not enough.
That was a pretty well constructed LIF for someone who, at the time, had only been on the site for 2 days. Most people after 2 days are more like WTF is a LIF ? On the other hand what would the ulterior motive be behind not following through on a LIF as your first act as a BA ? Of the few posts that he has made a couple have been about his "hauls" maybe he is laying the ground work for later, do a little whale hunting and screw someone out of some good beers. Probably didn't expect anyone to out him on a LIF.
