I've been in BIF before. And would like to participate in another. Is anyone willing to get one organized,I am down to help put one together if someone else takes the lead....Just a straight up BIF box for box.
You like stouts? http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/stout-bif-round-iii.192162/ Also keep an eye on the Locals BIF in case of round 2.
Not exactly a BIF, but http://www.beeradvocate.com/communi...st-leukemia-ii-world-cup.192214/#post-2561330 deserves your attention as well.
I have been looking for someone to start another BIF like I did last time. Basically someone started a 12 bottle shipper with 4 bottles of 3 different styles (we did stouts, IPA, and other) and each target then took one of each style, replaced them with a new one and kept the box going. I want to do this again, but don't think I can organize it myself just yet.
This is called "BIF in a Box". I'm not sure how it worked with your last round, but I don't recommend one of the styles being IPAs, since they could sit in the box for weeks or months before being chosen. I've seen it recommended that instead of strictly using beer styles, one of the "types" could also be "brewery only" or "barrel aged" to provide a little variety, so you could have "stouts, wild ales, brewery only" as your three "types" for example. I'm going to pass on this, as much fun as it sounds like, I really need a break and seem to have been roped into the stouts BIF anyway, but best of luck!
