I picked up a 4 pack last night when I couldn't find Sea Hag at three different stores. I wanted to like this beer, but unless there is something wrong with my cans, it tastes terrible. No hop profile whatsoever. It was canned 8/25/15 so I am not sure what is going on...I didn't expect Sip of Sunshine but at least something equal to Road 2 Ruin.

Oh well. Just wanted to give a heads up and see if anyone else had a similar experience. I try to support CT breweries but cant with Stony Creek yet.

It was good, definitely tasted orange peels and some mango. The hop profile is for sure suppressed, either go more piney and bitter or go for the citrus fruit flavor. It seems to be stuck in between.

Agreed big miss for me as well nice nose but no hope flavor all malt and a boozy hot mess once it warmed a bit.

If I hadn't cracked it open and poured it myself I'd have thought I'd been accidentally served some kind of spiced christmas beer. Have yet to try anything good from stony creek.

Had some at the brewery a couple weeks ago. Very mediocre.

A bit surprised to see that most of the reviews at this point are pretty favorable. I haven't been impressed with any of their new offerings.

I just sent one as an extra. After seeing this, should've sent something else. All the ratings were solid

I think it's an OK beer. I just found it to be too boozy.

Had this at the brewery on the first day of its release and it wasn't as hoppy as I expected. Very subtle aroma and had a lot of fruit esters in the flavor, bitter, with hints of lemon. Body was there, though, and was a bit too heavy. Ended up a bit underwhelmed, however I have heard rumors of people saying the beer at the brewery is subpar to what ends up in the cans. This must be crazy talk but I haven't been able to confirm it yet.

Haven't had it, it was on my list but based on Cranky I'm not going to bother. I did try a nitro from Stony Creek yesterday and didn't like it either. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I think the rest of their lineup is pretty weak, especially Crum (ughhh), but I really dig Big Cranky. It's super thick, dank mango and orange with hints of garlic/onion, but not as extreme as Deviant Dales. Alcohol is well-hidden and for $11.99 a 4pk of 16oz 9.5%ABV cans, it's a great deal.

I really didn't to like it as the brewery seems to be based around gimmicks and a brew pub that caters to non-enthusiasts, but I thought that this one was a solid beer.

Was not a fan of this beer at all. Got a sharp boozy taste, and really nothing else. Still have not had anything good from them. Great location, really mediocre beer.
