Big DIPAs that hide the booze

Yep, these are some of my go to DIPAs. Had some really fresh maximus a couple days ago. It had been awhile since I had it and it was just sublime. I love that beer.

Just Sayin:

Golden Road's Wolf Among Weeds (as of 6.13.13) most certainly does NOT hide the booze - and you don't want it to... The rind of white and pink grapefruit is a real pucker when combined with the grassy, peppery wild arugula and BIGTIME hopper-towns.

Hit this sh*t in the big can, served in an 18oz, tall jar. Real cheap. Good job.

 

Double Trouble definitely came to mind first.

I know this will sound weird, but I think 120 minute does a good job of making it's 18%ABV seem not so high. I only had one bottle (forgot how much age there was on it, mind you) but it tasted like a manageable 11% or so.

 

Didn't notice that at all with the Thumbprint. In fact, I thought it hid the boozy very well.

Was going to mention Myrcenary as well as I saw others did.

 

If anyone else has the chance to sample Navaja at the Half Acre taproom I highly recommend you do, a fantastic tropical hop-forward DIPA with hardly any alcohol taste.

 

Agreed, I was initially way turned off by all the EtOH on 120.

 

I will third Ephraim and throw Left Hand Twin Sisters in there too.
