Going through my cellar while getting ready to move I found a Big Foot and a WWS both from 2009. I'm considering drinking them now. It's very humid down there. Your thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.

I mean, as opposed to keeping them in a humid environment for another five years? Pop it now and post your findings.

Both should be fine I would think. Even in humidity, I would think temperature would be most important with alcohol content that high; at least with WWS.

2009 WWS is my favorite vintage. Be prepared for a wonderful sipper. Thin, almost spirit like. Little carbonation. flavors that may remind you of port or brandy.

Enjoy this when you have an hour you can dedicate to relaxation.

I needed two hours to finish this! It does remind me of a nice port. I still get heat from the high alcohol. Maybe I should have given it another year or two, but I have no problem with high alcohol and who knows what I'll be doing in a year or two.
It started off tasting like plums, or maybe raisins. As it warms it tastes more brandy-like. As it warms it becomes more drinkable...be careful.

Cheers! Having done several WWS verticals i'm not sure the alcohol ever tames down. I don't think a year or two will calm down the heat, but then again, i'll have to find out for myself in a year or two.

FYI: Even if you loved the 09 WWS, don't go running out trading for other vintages like crazy. The other years just aren't in the same league as 09. They my get there, but I seriously have my doubts.
