Possibly before December. Should be out of the barrels around late September or early October, and probably six weeks after that they'll hit the shelves if the timeline on Olde Bluehair applies here.

 

Great beer, no 2011 release though. I have a few 2010 left and they are drinking great.

 

One of the more underrated stouts out there.

Start building some hype up so when I buy a case this year I can trade the shit out of it.

"Why yes, I will take your Rare for my Ivan, after all the bottle count is in your favor fourfold! Mmm, yes, quite."

 

Ivan is really something else and I cannot wait for the '12 to come out! This was a tough winter not having it around, and my '10 Ivan keeps looking at me longingly, but I have to resist the temptation to open it.

 

How limitted is this stuff once its out?

According to Neal Leathers from Big Sky This year it will be available in December, so it will have been almost two years between releases.

Another example of the amazing growth in limited-beer snatching. The original run ('08 I believe) was on shelves in Minnesota for at least three months after the release...last year last about two days. Probably be hours next time around!

 

The word gets out about good beer...especially because we have sites like the one we're on. I bet the brewery's not unhappy about having their beer sold out.

 

So this likely won't see the outside of MN?
