Odd. Be Hoppier wins a medal but Be Hoppy doesn't. Hmmmm...

p.s. I love Wormtown but I think their best beer is Be Hoppy yet it's no where to be found on the awards list.

Nice to see Kelsen's Brown Ale getting some love.

I also thought it was weird that Be Hoppier won but there's no mention of Be Hoppy. I was glad to see Hopulence win the Imperial IPA category...that's an excellent beer!

Scored 2 bombers of Hopulence yesterday, so good! Just edges out Be Hoppy in my book, but if I will immediately partake of either!

Kelsen in New Hampshire had some nice wins as well. Pretty huge for Wormtown to be Grand Champion though. I'm not a trader, but maybe Be Hoppier and Hopulence will be more sought after.

Damn. There goes one of MA's best kept beer secrets. Be Hoppy was already selling out fast. Please don't let it turn into the next Ghandi-Bot!

(Though all being said, I'm glad to see good beer deservedly celebrated...)

I totally overlooked the news about Wormtown's plans to move to a larger location in Worcester. The local paper has a good article about it, including more details about their recent awards. According to the article, the brewers hope to be in the new brewery at 72 Shrewsbury St. by September and open to the public in early October.

So, hopefully this means we'll start seeing beers brewed by Megan Parisi sometime in late Fall/early winter.

they deserve it. great hoppy beers out of wormtown. give me wormtown, trillium, jack's abby and i have my hop fix and then some. honestly, if i lived in or around boston i'd have little reason to drink much else besides those 3 and cambridge brewing company.

Wormtown is awesome and I really really hope the new brewery means a bit better distribution in Boston. It'd be awesome if their stuff was regularly available at bars (like Trillium having at least one on tap at Publick House and a few other places 100% of the time). It's definitely a treat when it shows up places, and I think they'd get a ton of love if they had a couple flagship spots outside of Worcester.

Be Hoppy, Norm, Tennessee Tats, both double ipa's...they make some exceptional beers.

I liked tennessee tats better than their hoppy stuff and I'm a hophead. I hope they make more of it and more BA versions.

Not sure where you live in MA, but Prezo in Milford always has at least 2 Wormtown taps. Owned by the same folks who own Wormtown. Great pizza, good other food, 20 taps which rotate often and a very good bottle selection as well. http://prezogrille.com/about/our-bar/

Be Hoppy is on 100% of the time at Magoun's and Flatbread in Somerville.

The last be hoppy I had on tap was much less sweet than I've had in the past which allowed the hops to shine a bit more on every sip. Hope this win continues.

Be Hoppy is fantastic on tap. I had some from a fresh tapped keg (literally tapped when I ordered it) at Prezo a month or so ago and it was easily the best IPA, possibly best beer, I've ever had on tap. It was so fresh the hop oils were coating my entire mouth....absolutely spectacular.

And let’s not forget Wormtown quietly makes one of best straight porters in the land. If it was available in 6 packs, it could easily be my go-to porter.

Can you buy a straight up porter at a store anymore? ;-)
