I've heard a little* bit about this outfit and their ambitious plans, and thought this worth mentioning here. Inaugural tapping of their flagship offering "Morning Wood" is this Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at Manitou Station in White Bear Lake.

Would be a good time to go to, so I hope that some of you folks get out there! I have a dance to go to.

P.S. * Very little of late, but something to do with the Bay City Rollers, a brand-new taproom in picturesque White Bear Lake, and cans to the market quicker than you can say Bobs Yer Uncle! Also, as Manitou Station isn't in the BeerAdvocate "Places" database:
2171 4th Street White Bear Lake, Minnesota

P.P.S. December is gonna be a busy month for new Minnesota breweries...

Thanks for the tip, we enjoyed the taste we had at ABR & would like another. I'm going to be thirsty by Thursday anyways.

The Coffee stout is pretty good. They are planning on doing the canning at Sand Creek or Point arent they?

Point is what I had read a while back. They aren't the most chatty about all of the technical/co-packing thus-n-such (nor should they be when there's so much new competition on the local front. :sunglasses:)

Anybody get to this? Work got in the way yesterday.

Any chance it will still be on tap there tonight?

Much of my wifes family lives in the area, and many attended last night. More so because they go to the Station frequently for dinner/music. None are craft beer geeks by the furthest stretch of the imagination, but sounded like they enjoyed the samples of Morning Wood. Brewery should do well in that area, although the building they are in is quite small, so i dont know if they will ever be able to do the canning in house.

Made it there last night and Morning Wood was still on tap. Did not dissapoint. A very good beer and it paired well with the pub grub at the station. Wonder if part of the quid pro qo for these two is that Manitou Station will run food down to the taproom once it opens?

I agree the site is small but it is in a great spot for the taproom. How would it work with the new laws if they brewed for the taproom on site but handled brewing for distribution off site? Obviously too early in the game to say but could definately see the possibility of a Fulton type situation developing where the locally brewed taps are far superior to the contract brewed offerings for distribution.
