Beer forum pet peeve; folks who helpfully respond on a forum by posting just the link to the BA review for the beer being suggested. Usually, just posting the name will suffice and save everyone time. If someone feels the need to post the link, at least tell us the name too so we can understand your suggestion and can optionally follow the link.

There are so many beer styles out there, but 90% of beers are IPAs. You go to a bar or brewery it's all IPAs. IPAs are great and all, but so are many other styles.

Glad to say that's not the case here. We have a pretty good mix most places.

I'm originally from the midwest and travel back there 1-2x a year to visit family. You guys could really use more breweries doing sours.

It doesn't help it's getting warm out, so they're more in season.

Pet peeves? Big Corporate brewers who either buy up small craft brewers or launch their own "craft" brands to pretend to be something other than what they are. Like:

    Blue Moon Brewing — MillerCoors

Do you really feel this way about the magic fridge?

I didn't drink when I saw that Super Bowl commercial, but it's the first time I've ever wanted to donate money to a company based on a commercial. I still didn't want their product, but I figured I should buy a 6 pack just so they could make a little money off me.

That's classic. Tell him "roll the tape" like they would in a casino or bank.

People still do that?? I don't see a boss pour much, if at all and it wouldn't bother too much. But a frozen glass, I would definitely and respectively send that back

I don't remember seeing it. I'm not your standard Super Bowl commercial target market because I find almost all of them irritating. Unless Bud Lite had a different ad agency than the one they've previously used, it's highly unlikely that I would have liked it.

You know some of those brands were started by the corporate brewers to look like craft from their launch.

Absolutely I do. There is a dark side to business that assumes if you can't beat them - rip them off!

I would argue that is why everyone sticks an "IPA" label on their craft beer nowadays - even if they aren't an IPA. Black IPA's, wheat IPA's, doesn't matter. Call your beer an "IPA" and you will sell 50% more than if it doesn't have that label.

I am frankly waiting for the first IPA lager. Just a matter of time.

I used to watch the Super Bowl just for the ads around the time the ad I referenced aired. Ever since, I think the ads have declined in quality. Less humor, blah. I don't watch the Super Bowl anymore.

But here's the ad in question:

Triple IPAs because it's not a style, and the minute they make it one people will start brewing quadruple IPAs (if they haven't already).

I drink quite a bit from the can, I think the lack of oxygen interaction and the not having a pour retains a bit more of the Aroma and doesn't flatten out the beer quite so much.

I probably stated this elsewhere in this thread, but my dislike of shaker pints is quite profound.

Too late, it's already here. IPL. India Pale Lager. Jacks Abby and a few others. Actually quite good. Hoppy goodness, more smooth lager, less bitter bite sometimes.

All these damned hard sodas taking up space in the beer aisle. I am definitely seeing spots that once held craft options being taken up by this crap. It makes me die a little inside.

Also going to a restaurant that is supposed to be high end, but the only good beer on the menu is Guinness and they bring it to me in a chilled glass...grrrrr
