I hate when there is no clear bottling/canning date, or none at all. This includes:

Julian dating. I just want to buy beer, not do math.

Listing a "best used by" date. Just tell me when it was bottled, I'll decide when it's "best by" for me.

Cans in a sealed box that have a date on the cans, but not on the box. Most stores don't want you opening boxes to check the date on the cans.

    - No bottling date
    - Improper glassware
    - Restaurants/sports bars that only serve mass produced crap beer
    - People who think they're cool because they don't like NE style IPAs.
    - beer release lines (although I do it)
    - people who stock up on hard to find IPAs then don't drink them fresh
    - people who try and win in trades
    - beer people describing beers with words like fire, green, turbid, etc.

My list of complaints are fairly minimal. The trade forum is strictly a whale hunt sad to say, I posted for a locals trade and it was great. Other than that I don't bother any more. I hate bars feel obligated to use shitty shaker pints instead of proper glassware, obviously as ive oft stated I detest shakers with a passion, I'd rather drink out of my lawn mowing sneakers.

Oh and please date your craft beers if you want me to buy your stuff, I'm tired of asking and prodding retail workers on deliveries.

Once I discovered that it can take distributors as long as 2 months to get the beer into the hands of retailers I quit bothering with worrying about delivery date and just quit buying undated beer unless I could establish an age from the fact that it was a newly relased seasonal beer. I have even found at least one case where the beer that was being delivered had already passed its best by date.

Absolutely right, no date I don't buy except on AAL stuff, I figure that turns over fast enough it doesn't matter much.

I don't like IPAs, but I'm mondo cool for other reasons that I don't have to divulge to you.

I don't like beer... do you have any sours?
Why do Belgian beers cost so much?
My husband likes Yuengling, what should I get him?
All year long, "do you have any Mexican Cake?

Sorry...retail rant, I could go on for days

I work retail also, but it's more of a wine and spirits shop than a craft beer shop. Luckily, we have a large cooler filled with quite a range of stuff and we get a few craft beer snobs and the owner of the local brewery in, so I have people to talk to about craft beer. I've never heard of anyone who didn't like beer liking sours, though, that's a new one to me. Usually we get people asking for singles and I show them our bomber section and they're like "no, just a single can of Bud" or something like that.

Beer with random names that give no clue to what type of beer it is and no descriptions on the bottle or packaging.

I've seen some where I can't find the style on the can/bottle anywhere, so have to look it up online. Very annoying.

No. I use the matching brand glassware when I have it, otherwise I always use my Snorkel and I'm not hiding that critter!

What I find even more annoying is the information on their website being equally useless.

Please refer the singles seekers to Trader Joe's. They allow breaking a six-pack and they don't even impose an upcharge.
