I am to the point I realize there is little I could say that would top the inherent self ridicule of folks who think they can keep their man card and also use the word, "hazebro"

They said on the facebook or web page for that specific store that they had the beer you wanted, but then they didn't? Or you saw a beer was out but the store you stopped at didn't have it? Get to know the store owners/managers and they can tell you how little leverage they typically have with distributors, can't always get what they want, and often have no idea when or if they'll be getting a specific beer.

When Prairie Pirate BOMB, CBS, KBS, and BCBS come out it is interesting to talk to the store managers in the area to hear how random distribution seems to be. You would think the cult beers would be allocated based on prior sales of that brand, but not always. We have a liquor chain in town with eight locations. One or two of the stores might get cases of a beer, and some of them get nothing. Managers are frustrated about having no answers for the customers who blame them. One manager I talked to has been assaulted by a customer that accused him of hiding cult beer. Another manager offers me all the cult beer he has left just to be rid of it and be able to tell folks it's gone.

Hopefully not when fresh. Low ABV coffee beers are risky to age because the coffee can develop the green pepper taste. I "accidentally" aged an FBS for a year, and...green peppers.

I find it the other way, the green pepper is strongest when fresh and ages out (but the coffee does too).

There are no good coffee beers!

I love coffee, but it should be hot. Cold coffee is just wrong.:wink:

I'm old fashioned- I like my beer to taste like beer!

Anyone who entertains the idea that a certain beer in not for craft newbies. Or worse, someone who who acknowledges others or see themselves as a beer veteran. Both of these thoughts go squarely against what is beautiful about beer.

Maybe it's my advancing years, but I find myself getting less and less "peevish" about beer related stuff these days. Time was, no freshness dating information would drive me bonkers. (And I've posted that very thing. Maybe even early in this thread lol) Bare bones reviews also

Here in NE/Central PA are are blessed to have access to many fine beers from all over the country. And I for one am pretty happy about that. I feel for those poor folk in states like WV.

Thanks mainly to this fine site and the interesting chaps who frequent it, I've learned a lot about US craft beer.

    Thanks BA's!

Are you kidding? Beer tastes terrible. I only got into craft because of all the additives that hide the beer taste

Plus, if there's one thing better than a double entendre it's a single entendre. It can't fail!
