Birdsong's Turtles on Pterodactyls

    Did anyone make it out for Birdsong's bottle release - Turtles on Pterodactyls? It's an bourbon barrel-aged Mexicali Stout, and I quite liked it. At just a 5.9% ABV, it probably won't age particularly well but I liked the fact that it was a bit lower gravity. Nice release last night, with a four-bottle limit. I believe it will show up in area bottle shops.

    I was there - great stuff! Picked up 4 but 2 will go to a friend in Raleigh.
    For those that love big, thick bourbon stouts, this isn't that. Think Foothills BBA People's Porter with coffee and spice on the finish. I like that it's easy drinking vs. the huge BCBSs of the world.
