This guy, 7 years running. Great to have something familiar, with slight changes every year. Just...like...me. Happy pre-birthday! Cheers!

I do not have a birthday beer, but I guerss I should have one. It would be pretty cool to have that special beer to celebrate with. I'll have to figure one out !

KBS is always my birthday beer, girlfriend tracked one down after much searching to give to me when we first met. A tasty tradition it has become.

Not really. I have had many different beers on my birthday throughout the years. My first "legal" beer on my 21st birthday was Anchor Liberty. Last year, I went to RR and tried both Supplication and Row 2 Hill 56. Both are 2 of my current favs per style.

Red Stripe. One of the big bottles. Going back to when I had no money for beer, I always treated myself to a Stripe on my birthday. I still usually do, though I always supplement that with something good later in the evening.

I'll just head out to a few of my local breweries and get a good buzz on from some super fresh, yummy beer.

So far I play it by ear, last year (29) I had a bottle of Cascade Apricot sour. This year I'm not sure yet, my birthday is at the end of July so I'm not always in the mood for a big stout when it's humid and 85 degrees out. I'm likely going to pull the trigger on something else from Cascade, or maybe a wild ale from the Bruery.

I try to reserve it for something special I either have very few of or is typically not something I'd buy due to cost.

Viva! 4/17 @nick0417, I'll be turning 40 on Sunday. I have a couple aged BLVD Saison-Bretts from my days in KC that I plan to dig into and whatever the Map Room has tapped. Due to a heavy work summit taking place that following Monday, my real celebration doesn't begin for another 10 days when the wife and I make the pilgrimage to Vermont.
