My wife surprised me with a nice haul of beer for my birthday: 2x 500ml Garrison Brewing Oktoberfest Brau 2x 600ml Beau's Bogwater 4x 750ml Unibroue La Terrible Never had the last two. I'm really looking forward to tasting La Terrible. Anyone else get beer surprises as gifts?

My wife recently bought me some absolutely fantastic Monopol Hermetus bottle opener made in Germany. A friend of mine from G say they've been around for years. Sturdy and reseals those bombers like nobody's business; that way I don't have to rush through those tasty limited DIPA's! And it wasn't even my birthday!

I was told by my gf Im on my own for my birthday. last year I did a BA Blackout, BBQ, Event Horizon, Top of the Hill Stout, and Hopslam. This year I have a Zhukov and Belgo Anise IRS from Stone (thanks to an amazing BA in CA--you know who you are) so far. Im kind of seeing what I can land before the eve of KBS day.

My birthday is Saturday, so we will see what's in store for me. I personally just bought myself a sixer of bigfoot (one of my favorites) and 2 bottles of Stone enjoy be 12/21/12. Ive heard tons of great things about that beer so im excited to try it. I have had the flu since Monday so hopefully by Saturday I will be ready to enjoy!
my birthday is in January (last day of month) and falls on a thursday...I probably will wait until Friday or Saturday to celebrate but plan on hitting a good craft bar with great food and then hit up a great beer bar, all paid for by my girlfriend! not to mention i will get a gift card to total wine that will go straight toward hopslam!
