    That is awesome Beachrat.
As far as Belgians go Gulden Draak 9000 is a great choice, as well as Affligem Tripel, Ommegang,s Three Philosophers, and Dubbel. and many others already mentioned.

One of these days I will have to tell you my story about attending the Belgium comes to Cooperstown beer event at Ommegang. I really like Belgian style beers; they are yummy but boy they can really catch up to you!

    Cheers!

My college graduation party wasn't much better, I'll just say ONE of the growers was full of St. Bernardus 12 that I all but polished off before I ate anything.

Lots of great suggestions here, but allow me to suggest a couple others, especially if your leaning toward quads/strong dark ale.

Kasteel Donker and De Striuse Pannepot are every bit the equals of Rochefort, St. Bernardus, and Westy, IMO. And if do get Kasteel where you live, look for some leftover Kasteel Winter. It was first introduced this past Christmas, and was totally underrated, IMO.

A Belgian Birthday bash without the following:

    Westmalle
    Chimay
    St. Bernardus

is no Belgian Birthday Bash at all!

    Happy Early Birthday! Cheers!

I picked up some Duvel Tripel hop with mosaic the other day. That stuff is awesome if you are able to find it!

Throw in some Rodenbach if you want some sours. You also need St. Bernardus Triple and Wit.

I would go through at least one Wit, Dubble, Triple, Quad, Belgian Stout, and Sour if you can.
