Bishops barrel 10

    Rumor is that it will be the anniversary ale aged in gin barrels to be released next month

    I got an email from them for Louisiana events that says bourbon barrels. Not sure if that just refers to the cask or not, but it seems to point towards that being what it is

    It's 20th anniversary ale aged in bourbon barrels. And it's not a rumor. They mentioned this in one of their mass emails that they were serving it at the 21st anniversary party

    i'm real excited to try this... I really liked the 20th anny barley wine... i cannot see how putting it in a bourbon barrel could make it worse...

    Think I'm going to go down to their pub night for the 21st anny just to get a glass....

    As mentioned before, it's XX anny in Woodford, not gin. The gin barrels are aging something else...potentially for a bishop's barrel. On Saturday, 6/6, we'll have our 21st anniversary party. BB10 will debut that night. 6/7 will be our Cellar tasting. Here's the link for more info.

    That's a pretty generic label. As @awinkro said, it's not BB10. Might be BB11, but probably something later down the line.

    A few of y'all would fail my English class...for Pete sakes, brewer at SA said it's not gin barrel aged. Can you tell I'm ready kick those 9th grade a-holes out of my life?!

    Talking to a rep a few weeks ago. BB10 is 20th Anniversary aged in Bourbon Barrels. Future BB's will be Christmas ale aged in white wine barrels and then Endeavor aged in gin barrels (just went into barrels a few weeks ago)

    @awinkro, can this be confirmed?


    edit...the Christmas Ale in white wine barrels and Endeavor in Gin barrels, we know BB 10 is XX in bourbon barrels.

    Is there any chance this survives until the 18th somewhere in Austin? I'm on my annual beer fast (I know, I know) and I've never seen an opportunity to get one of these bottles without drinking another one.

    Without drinking another one or without purchasing another one? Just give the onsite bottle to someone else. Beer it forward.
