The Bishops Barrel does not hit stores. The series was started as a reward to bars that regularly carry Saint Arnold's on tap....or something like that.

No kegs (unless there is a very, very rare keg), not at stores, bottle only at bars/restaurants.

The Bishop's Barrel series is for bars/restaurants only. None of the BBs are available in stores. Some bars and restaurants that have the proper beer/wine-only license do sell bottles for off-premise consumption just like buying in a store. If the place does not have a full bar, chances are they can sell beer to go. For instance, I've seen BBs at the Craft and Growler, but not sure if they still have BB10.

There *might* have been a few BB2 that hit some East Tarrant County stores a few years ago, but I don't think any have since then.

They had a bunch of BB9 at a liquor store (Party Stop) in Amarillo two weeks ago. I always tend to find nice surprises there when I'm in the area for business but I totally didn't expect that. Only $5.50/bottle too.

I ran into some at a store in Seguin as well. $4.99 per.

Anyone know of any places in Houston that still have this behind the bar?

I'm actually in town this weekend (for a change) and I might de-rail some plans for the weekend if it means I can find somewhere to try a bottle.

    thanks.

Fieldings Wood Grill still had it tonight for $15 if you're up north and don't mind paying a premium

What happens is once Saint Arnold turns the beer over to distributers, shenanigans. That's why you see BB in stores from time to time.

Gotta love ye olde 3 tier system.

Heading to Austin this weekend, are there any places I need to seek out for BA and regular Bishop's Barrel? Not sure if this is something I'll be able to find, hoping to get lucky!

Please let me know if anyone has info, thanks.

All of the Bishops Barrel releases are BA, hence the name. So the term "regular Bishops Barrel" does not make a whole lot of sense

Seems like you could've said that with just an emoji, then helped me out.

I live in Austin and I can't find it. Last time I saw it was weeks ago at whole foods.

Your best bet at this point would be to trade for some. A lot of us have a bottle or two extra around. I just traded a 8 and 10 for a NG r&d

You saw Bishops Barrel at whole foods? Bottles to go?

Again, it was some time ago. I think it was the downtown Whole Food. I went in the beer cave and picked out some standard turds. Then, after leaving the cave, I saw one Bishop on a display, room temperature, IIRC, that didn't have a price sticker. I think it had been mislaid, or purposely hidden.

Back when Victory at Sea was hard to find, I found one VaS in a cave of a Twin Liquor, wedged into the back of some non Ballast bomber row. It happens.

I'm in Houston, so I don't know where to try and get it in Austin. My best guess? Flying Saucer may have some on their bottle menu. Best bet was mentioned above, trade for some.
