I'm not a big bar guy either. I get my fix at B-Dubs. I get to enjoy good beer and wings and best of all, I can take all of my family.

I'm interested in trying this, but I'm getting tired of the $13-20 I have to shell out at bars for the Bishops Barrel series.

Just seemed to me like there was more excitement in this thread over the next DR than the next BB.

How about an English Barleywine or put DR 12 and DR 13 in a barrel.

I've only been waiting for a re-release of DR5 or a BB version of DR5 for like seven years now, so yeah, you could say I'm excited about it, but that would be an understatement.

BTW, I still have one bottle of DR5 left to use for a side-by-side. :grinning:

I wish in my perfect world that breweries would stop giving these beers to bars that are known to upcharge for these beers to an extreme amount.

But, it is not a perfect world. That would actually give a reason for bars not to try to rip people off who just want craft beer.

No one is forcing people to buy at extreme mark ups. If people didn't pay it, places would stop selling them at such a high price. But people will. So bars will.

No, I'm drinking at various bars in Dallas. Almost all of them charge what I posted.

Yeah I mentioned how I liked that when Saint Arnold released BB4 and the base weizenbock.

It would be nice if these beers stay under the radar. Unlikely though.

These SA releases are never under the radar here in Houston. Its a tiring frenzy!

It seems like places that sell to go (Hay Merchant, D&T, Petrol Station, etc) seem to sell out the quickest as people want to save some for later. I've been able to find almost every BB at a bar or restaruant that don't do to go weeks after release though.

$22 for BB6 here. Great beers, but not that good.
