I visited Hubcap last night for the hatch burger special even though i figured the bb8 would be sold out. They still had bb8 as of 8 PM or so, and the burger was worth the trip but a little salty for my tastes.

You know the term self entitled is used quite a bit around here. Usually it's unwarranted IMO. But man...that is ridiculous.

Agree that those of us with day jobs are usually SOL on the BB. But since this is BA and Houston traders are the shiznit, anyone wanting one can usually get one. $13 per bottle is a little high but whatever. I do think it's silly for BB not to get sent to regular places, but WTF do I know about running a brewery, so there.

You're right, that sentence does come off entitled, it was a poor choice in wording. That wasn't the intent of my post, but I guess at that point some of my frustration managed to slip through the cracks.

No one deserves anything, you're right. Saint Arnold owes me nothing, I exchange cash for their product - a more than fair exchange at that.

And you're right, it's just beer. And I need to let this thing go.

I was simply trying to express my frustration with the whole process, as due to work, family, and schedules, I don't have the ability to go to a random bar(s) on a weeknight and hope to get lucky after a 40 minute wait. Looking back, I've wasted upwards of 2 hours that I didn't really have, this week with nothing to show for it; so clearly I need to let this thing go.

My apologies, I did not intend to come off as entitled. SA owes me nothing, and I owe nothing to them.

If there are any kind souls out there that would be willing to trade one or more to me it would be greatly appreciated, please BM (I doubt anyone will want to deal with the self entitled a$$hole now, but I'll float that out there). I have a JK fruited sours on stash, some old(er) DR's, a couple of misc. prairies, etc.... nothing of whale caliber, but maybe we can work something out...

I think many of us feel like Bluestar. This is one release I REALLY wanted to try.

No need to apologize. We've probably all been frustrated at some point by a release. I constantly have to remind myself I don't actually need to have anything that comes out. It sure as hell saves me a lot of money when I do.

To be on topic: this beer is good, but Shiner 106 is better.

 

I love Christmas Ale. Just purchased another 12 pack. How bout people that think SA is crap, not wait in line and seek all these beers out then? Instead continue hoarding the completely over rated Jester King beers (see not everyone likes the same beer ).

By the way, I had no problem getting a bottle at D&T last night, and they are releasing a second case today...you just had to get there at 5:30. I mean, I know it is a stretch to actually drink beer at a bar, so what ever.

 

I'm not buying any BB8, and I don't hoard Jester King. In fact, I thought Atrial was really disappointing.
