Porter brewed with maple, being released 12/19. What do you think the demand for this will be? Really want to try, but certainly don't want to get in line more than 45 mins before opening. This is also the Dinner release at MBC, so I assume at least some folks will probably end up over at Bissell after getting their Dinner fix.

Dammit, I hate lines and crowds.

Angels got some crappy reviews last year. Hope they changed the formula this year as I will be stopping by after getting my Dinner fix... Yep, I hate lines as well

Pretty sure I read it's a different recipe this year. Of course, I can't find that now, though.

It has to be. Last year it was a porter with lactose sugar and amarillo hops. Not very good at all.

On any other day the demand would be low; however, you will likely get screwed by the Dinner release.

Last year's batch was decent, but not great. Definitely didn't have maple in it. Personally, I'd be willing to give the new recipe a shot.

    This the one?

Kevin Broydrick: Any new beers coming down the pipeline you guys think we should know about?

Noah: Last year around Christmas time we brewed what we called a porter (a very hoppy porter) called Angels With Filthy Souls. We’re gonna keep it as a dark Christmas beer but totally reinvent it.

    Peter: Christmas liquor…

Noah: This year it’ll feature a much more traditional porter malt bill, a much more restrained hop character, and then we’ll add about two gallons per barrel of maple syrup to secondary fermentation. It’ll be a bigger beer this year — I’ve been working on this for months and I’m psyched about it. We also just got a new fermentor tank so we’ll basically just be brewing more of everything.

I dug last years version, reminded me of a better tasting Alpha Klaus. This years recipe sounds great.
