How is the Swish line this morning?

 

It sure is quiet here on these beer advocate forums...

how are the lines on non-Swish days? guaranteed beer if you get there shortly after opening?

I'll be there tomorrow, that's why I'm asking.

 

You will have no problem getting either beer if you show up a little after opening.

 

Bissell posted no line as of 10:45 and 160 cases Swish still available.

 

Nice to know that swish on a Wednesday is manageable

This may not necessarily be the right thread for it, but of all the Tree House and Trillium IPAs/DIPAs, which one most resembles Swish, if any do? Asking because I've never had the opportunity to try it

 

It's fairly similar to the Trillium DIPAs, I just had Swish but it's been a while since I've had this one and maybe I'm way off but I'd call it kind of like a mosaic rather than galaxy forward version of Vicinity. To my tastes it doesn't taste much like anything from Tree House, but has some strong common ties to Substance (obviously), Focal Banger, and the general Trillium vibe.

 

I agree with this. I dont think it taste anything like Tree House but does have a lot of similarities to Trillium. I cant tell you the exact Trillium beers because I dont drink either beers enough but I remember getting that Trillium vibe from it.

 

I drink a lot of Trillium to get that out of the way. While the mouthfeel and juicyness compares to the Trillium DIPA's I really don't think Swish is similiar to any of Trilliums beers. Swish stands alone (not necessary better) in that when its peaking it takes like straight pineapple juice to me (a good thing). I don't get that same kind of flavor from any of the Trillium beers. When I had Swish for the first time on the release day it didn't blow me away because I'm generally spoiled with IPA's. BUT a couple of weeks in the can its started peak and blew me away. I can say that its def one of my favorites and again feel like the flavor profile is unique.

 

Swish was phenomenal, closest beer it compares to is Mettle by Trillium, but I think it's better than Mettle. Reciprocal was also top notch, cant wait to try more hoppy brews from them tomorrow.

BUT how are Saturday releases? What's the norm? Is showing up a little before opening best bet? I plan on going for Sub and Lux but want to do it right.

any suggestions from the BB veterans?

 

anyone know if they have the grey and white snapback hat with their white logo still available? Im ISO but didn't think I was allowed to post on the FT/ISO post if its non-beer. Is there someone who might be interested in a trade for beer for the hat?

Am I just crazy that I recently had fresher cans of Swish, Reciprocal, and Substance and I liked the latter two better than Swish?

 

For me recently, reciprocal has been my favorite. Although I will say that the last swish I had, from the 12/30 release, was really great and better than I remember other recent swish releases.

 

Just had recent Swish, Reciprocal, and Substance cans sent to me and would rank them in that same order. Had Swish once before, but this one was much better than I remember. First time having Reciprocal, had Substance once before.

 

You drink a lot of Trillium and don't get pineapple from Congress Street?
