Didn't see a new thread for Bissell this month, so apologies if I missed it. I'm headed up to Portland for the 4/16 release of Swish. Just trying to get a sense of when I need to be there in order to get it. I kind of need to be in and out as quickly as possible. Will there be a line ala Treehouse?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, probably need to be in line by 11ish if you need to be in and out as soon as possible.

There will be a line. They open at 12pm on the dot. If you bring cash you can get in the cash only line. You should be on your way out of there by 12:30

You should be good at around 11. Definitely bring cash. The cash line moves way faster.

I would say 10AM would get you to a better point in the line. Especially if you bring cash for the cash only line which will separate itself at one point. There really is no way to make it an inn and out. Your either getting there early at 10 to wait two +hours to get after noon and get it and go. Or get there at 11 and wait in a longer line and a bit longer to get in and pay. If you have your morning open its a no brainer to get there as early as possible. The warmer the weather gets the more people will line up early though. And I believe we are coming up on the last releases of the season for Swish so be aware. Bring a folding chair and just chill. They'll serve coffee and donuts for people in line.

@Jbrews Swish isn't brewed all year round?

Sorry last Wednesday release I believe for the season. Which will make it a bit more crowded for the weekend.

Looks like 4/16 and 4/23 might be the last Swish releases until fall. Pretty sure Swish is an October through April release.

Here's their upcoming release schedule: http://imgur.com/5Rqbmtj

Yes, I believe that's correct. No swish in summer.

There is a notation on the release schedule of the 23rd being a "40 bbl batch". Does anyone know if this is pointing out that this is a bigger or smaller release than normal?

yea 40bbl is about 400 cases (some goes on tap)

This is about twice the size of a normal release.

This past weekend there was 153 cases of Swish available with a (3) 4 pack per person limit. They sold out with people still in line.

It was around 2pm. Substance sold out first, that was only (2) 4 packs per person.

Yea, this sounds about right. I just get there 1-2 hours early and wait. Better to wait for some, then risk it for none. Even if I only live about 45 minutes away.

That's what I did on Sat. Got there a little after 10, was one of the first people in the cash line. Grabbed my Bissell allotment, a case of Epiphany, a few Allagash Reds and a couple pours of Swish. Was back on the road by 2:30. Couldn't have gone any better.

Bring cash. If there is a cash only line it starts at open and lasts an hour and it moves 4x faster(at least) than the card line.
