Bitburger Octoberfest

I tried this last year and enjoyed it (as a solid amber lager), but I still cringe when I hear Bitburger or Warsteiner Oktoberfest. Kind of like Hershey's Tomato Ketchup or Johnsonville Ice Cream Sandwiches.

 

Milwaukee pulled pork?

I gave Warsteiner a try one year. Definition of "meh." At least for an Oktoberfest.

 

Call me suspicious, paranoid or a freshness fanatic, but I check the date code before purchasing and bringing the beer home. Of course, that does mean bringing my most powerful reading glasses (giving new meaning to the term "beer glasses" ) or keeping a spare pair in the truck.

I enjoyed it a lot last year. That looks very clear, the one thing I remember from last year was how incredibly cloudy it was for an import. It didn’t detract from the beer at all I just thought it was odd. Is that as clear as the picture makes it look?

 

Can’t like this enough. Great episode. Had the pleasure of visiting Duff Gardens at Universal. Fun stuff.

 

Would agree with many posts above. Saw it on the shelf. Best buy Spring 2021. Check the best-buy date. You are looking at an over year-old beer. I think I'll wait until this year's version is released, but definitely not interested in trying last year's beer. Keep a keen eye folks!

Yes....it is very clear....I seem to remember it being the same last year as well - and not cloudy / hazy.....perhaps you had some with "chill haze"?

Total Wine had it last year in Knoxville. I bought a 6, enjoyed it enough to buy another 6 or 2.

 

It's out in upstate NY, haven't tried it yet.

this is the appearance I remember from last year, seems to be the same this year. It is still a tasty beer that I enjoy a lot. This is all warmed up and just wiped the glass of condensation, it’s crazy how clear your is compared to this.

 

Went to a couple large retailers last week; no Butburger Oktoberfest.

Personally, I'm begging to think this beer is a hoax.
