Bitter Canadian Torpedoed

I knew it was too good to last.
Cruised throuigh the weekend without a single beer twitch and just as I was serving up the Sunday roast my wife, who had be organising the drinks, looked at her glass and said 'Hey, that's not Coke Zero.'
Sure enough, it wasn't. She had accidently poured my only can of Bitter American (Bugger! Sunday, bloody Sunday) into a frilly enamelled glass. My dilemma was clear.
Either drain pour the beer and stay on course until August 3rd or heed the call of the bar. So, taking one for the team and recalling that old Zimbonian koan of 'A Beer in need, is a friend indeed' I downed the bastard and drank a SN Torpedo chaser for good measure.

And apart from this momentary indiscretion, I'm back on the wagon.

From the first sip all I thought was 'What the hell have I been waiting for?' It was very tasty and an excellent sessionable drink. Looked almost perfect too. Had the Trashy Blonde not been at room temp I might have been tempted to do a comparison but in retrospect I think the BrewDog beer would have taken a right beating.

I have no regrets with your instrumental contribution Alan. No sorry, just thanks.
