Bitter Valentine in VA/DC/MD

Total wine in Richmond got it yesterday in one store but they are sold out - the Robious store got it this morning but I know two are already sold ....The norfolk stores have cases of them but I an not sure if NoVa has any yet.

 

Really hope it hits this week before I move away.

If not I'll need someone around here to trade with me

 

Last time I was at Cairo Liquor on 17th st in DC, they had a couple bottles of what I assume is last year's batch. I didn't buy it because I had no idea how old it was. now I know.

 

Total Wine in Sterling has it. One bottle limit.

 

Damn! I just ordered 4 online at TW McLean. Looks like another situation where they take my money for 4 bottles only to tell me that I can only have one and it will take them a few business days to give me my money back for the other 3 bottles. I wish they could figure out how to apply bottle limits to their website!

 

Alexandria and Springfield TW both have it. One per person limit. Only got a case each store.

 

Lame I was just at the Alexandria store a few hours ago :/ One case each seems really limited. Hopefully some non TW spots get more.

 

The Norfolk area TW's got 17 cases, we just got one at each in Richmond too...

Last year there were two batches of this. Maybe NOVA gets more of the second batch.

 

Seems more than likely. I think they have been doing this with BB Porter and even their seasonals.

 

I picked some up from the brewery last weekend and they were doing 2 bottles per customer. A woman who worked in their brewery shop said they had another batch in the tanks so be on the lookout for a second shipment.

 

Not much interest in this one lately it seems, but I saw multiple bottles at Lost Dog in McLean yesterday. Hope it was batch 2.

 

The beer shops I follow on Facebook usually post an update when this comes in, and I haven't seen anything since early February.

 

The 2nd batch should be in the area now, I know MOM's Organic Market in Herndon ( http://www.facebook.com/HerndonBeerPage ) got some in but can't sell it until it is in their computer system.

 

Batch 2 is come and gone in Richmond - Batch 2 of Cafe Royale should be around in a month or so

 

Whole Foods in Falls Church had this on tap the past two days, but its gone now. Anyone know if other places have it?

 

I called Total Wine and they told me that this beer only comes out once a year, and that's at Valentine's.

Sucks when you know more than your beer store.
