Bitterest sounding IPA name?

    It's really annoying. A lot of the new breweries around describe their beer in the most cliche over-the-top and extreme ways. It's so dumb. "This brew is like a polar beer that eats a sports car and then does pushups while wearing your grandfather's world war 2 hat and that's why you know it's a great porter." WTF? Enough. Your beer isn't that good and you think throwing a bunch of random shit into a somewhat coherent sentence is funny. Sadly, half of the buffoons on this site think it's funny. I guess I'm just the curmudgeony minority.

    I wish everyone could do it like Brooklyn brewery does with the bottle neck descriptors. The language gets a bit colorful, but in general they're just telling me the types of malts, hops and yeast used. I will decide if the beer is great, you don't need to tell me it is.

    1001 IBU would be a start. But really, this was my answer as well. Palate Wrecker might take second.

    While an awesome name, dank doesn't really mean it's bitter....

    I'll go with IBUsive and Ruination for the most bitter sounding name.

    Up here in Canada we have an IPA from Great Lakes Brewery called My Bitter Wife IPA with artwork featuring a scowling old woman. It doesn't get much more bitter than that.

    A lot already mentioned I came to say but I've always thought "resin" was good. Makes me think of squeezing the hop oils from a fistful of hops into a can.
