There are some that carry the "alpha" theme as well. Captain Lawrence Seeking Alpha is an example, though I have not tried it.

How have we forgotten Hop Stoopid!

I thought that was a weed reference.

"Alpha" or Hop Stoopid? Alpha must refer to alpha acid.

I thought that Lagunitas only speaks in weed references. Or was it they are just always stoned...

    Maybe it was both.

Hop Stoopid- I gather 'stoopid' is a reference to being stoned, only on hops in this case.

When in doubt, I just figure that if it seems like code words, then it surely is with those guys.

Had not heard that, but entirely plausible. Obviously there are a couple posts on here suggesting the same theme from Lagunitas, so I will defer to the masses. Furthermore, I went straight to the source and after reading the label on the website I would agree with you: "clean this mess up or else we'll all end up in jail...those test tubes and the scale..." also a "high" reference.

you learn something new everyday

Partly (and strangely) due to the the onomatopoeia of the word, "Stochasticity," which of course has nothing to do with flavor at all:
