    Lagunitas Night Time is awesome and a great value. Saison is a style I can't warm up to. Don't think I ever will.

    I like 1554 too, but my first black beer experience that was more enjoyable was Xingu, regardless of its BA rating.

    This - Wookey Jack is awesome. If you can get your hands on Cascadian Dark Ales (CDAs) from the PNW - I would also recommend sampling a couple. Interesting brews - chocolatey/coffee IPAs.

    I thought they weren't making any more of that one.

    OP, there are many delicious Black Ales or Black IPAs, or Imperial Black IPAs, but maybe you just don't like the style. There are many on BA here who always post their dislike of this style. Personally, I've had too many that I've really liked to count.
