Soon I hope, love the series, even more since Deschutes came to MN.

Black Butte IV was released in the 1800s. A simple recipe, made only of the finest water, malt and barley the region had to offer. A humble beginning for Deschutes but a classic regarded well amongst BeerAdvocates from the NW to the South Pacific. Several recluse diehards have over 200 years on this bottle to date and claim that it will continue to evolve for centuries to come. Quite the beer according to popular lore and myth. Predates even Larry Sidor's knowledge of beer and the Deschutes Brewery itself. Brewed before the incorporated date of the fine city of Bend. Truly a whale if there ever was one. ISO.

I asked a local bottle shop today, was told late July for arrival in Seattle.

I believe Lewis and Clark found half a case hidden in the hollowed-out stump of a Douglas fir.

    If memory serves correctly, yes.
