    Hi,

I have seen XXII attempting to trade pretty high value. Was that version limited versus the XXI (I have one). Is there a spot showing the series availability? Generally wondering the trade value of XXI.

    Thanks.

Bottles of the XXII weren't officially "released," which is why it isnt traded much compared to the other installments.

XXI should trade nicely though, I believe I got one in part of a larger trade involving other limited shelf beers and higher bottle count brewery only stuff (forget what specifically). Honestly, if I had one I'd just open it - the bottle I had last summer was amazing and the XX seemed to be on the downside.

XXII is borderline impossible. Wasn't released due to cocoa lipids congealed at the neck of the bottle. XXI trades relatively high for something with similar distro, I'd assume mainly because it ages as well as just about anything ever has.I have a bunch but I honestly can't think of much I'd give one up for because I love the shit.
That being said, there are folks out there sitting on cases and cases of it (XXI) and will let it got for something that tickles their fancy. It's just a matter of finding out where they're ticklish... that's how I got mine.

Yes, you do win. And here after reading several different posts in a row I was beginning to feel my deep-seated disdain for the majority of traders (I'm talking WalStreet level of disgust for excuses passing as humans). Way to prove there is one person out there actually advocating craft beer rather than trying to masturbate a profit from it. Here, an iPhone flower and thumbs up for you:

Edit: never mind, just imagine the flower and thumbs up, it won't post.

there are TONS of amazing people on this site. the big problem is you don't usually find them answering FT/ISO posts. i feel like it is hard to keep up with the generosity and advocacy on this site...but you wouldn't know it if you lurked the trading forums.

Indeed. I am glad to sit at table with some of them for tastings. This Sunday one of those generous folks is pulling out a bunch of aged Cubans, others are bringing some incredible beers. This thread has got me thinking it probably is time to open my last XXI, prob go great with an aged Cuban maduro.

All I know is, this beer is one of my favorites. The value isn't crazy high, but honestly if you like big porters, try this. As of about 5 months ago it was drinking divine. Traded for another recently (didn't give up anything crazy) so I have two more to enjoy over the next two years.

I have none of your "wants" but let me know if you want to trade it and we can try to work something out

Ditto. I extra'd my last one to a long time trading partner, since I was already sending him XXIII and XIV as part a trade.
