Always enjoyed Black Creek Historic Brewery. Anyone tried the new Rifleman's Ration? Got a bottle to try and must say enjoyed it. I normally enjoy hoppy beers or stouts, but am always up for something new from an Ontario brewery. This was a nice suprise.
A really nice Ontario brown. All the normal English flavours but with a nice zing to ithat stops it from getting old.
Will have to keep an eye out for this one. Everything I've tried from BCHB has been at least above average, and I love me some brown ales... and they're one of the few OCB breweries with frequent distribution in this area.
I loved their porter when I got to try it, but I've heard that their stout is really nice too. I agree with the guy above me, their stuff seems to be above average, but I'm just glad I can get a GOOD porter locally now, and maybe even a stout when I get to trying it.
This will be my go to for the style... It wins by default because its really the only brown ale available at the local LCBO, but its certainly a solid example of the style so I'm pumped to have the option. As previous posters have mentioned, I've quite enjoyed all of their brews so far. Here's to hoping they keep it up!
