Kegs are indeed, but growler stores will have a tough time landing one. My rep said any kegs he gets will go to bars and restaurants only. I'm ok with that, as it allows more people a chance to try it vs. one guy buying three gallons of it for himself.

I spoke with a person from TW on Robious a few days ago about this. I asked if the Black Friday release would mean in stores as well as the national release parties, but the person felt like they would not get it until the following week. I sorta don't want to go on that though based on the information that Shilt has so I have asked a few people to let me know when it hits the trucks. I'll post on update when I actually verify that it's in the store or certainly heading there.

With next week having a holiday too, I'm curious about delivery schedules. Seems they'd be a day off, so Friday deliveries would get pushed back until Monday, as they usually don't drop off package a day early. Not from what I've dealt with anyway. With some markets already releasing early, GI might have just said hell with trying to keep it inline on a single day and places might not wait to put the beer out. I wouldn't be surprised to see it early everywhere.

I called several stores in NC and some said that the shipment won't actually arrive until Black Friday or later so there are no guarantees they will even have it for release on Friday. I thought AB shipped it all out early and just had people hold them until the release.

in FL, the beers were definitely available on black friday last year, so they must have arrived ahead of time.

If your AB house is anything like the one in central VA, they'll do an off day delivery to the stores getting their cases. They likely will put it on a truck going near those locations on Friday. Thursday deliveries will have been spread out through the week as to not miss any single store during a holiday weekend.

Unfortunately many of the TW people don't ever know a thing. Everything I have heard is that it will be hitting stores on Black Friday. Have also heard that only 2 cases of Coffee will be coming to RVA and the TW's will receive one each. RVA will get the shaft big time because a) GI has expanded nationwide and b) their regular product sits on shelves throughout the city. My best advice would be to go to TW when it opens or a bit before, as they usually get their shipments first in the AM. In addition to TW, Whole Foods, the Vines, some lesser known spots like Ellwood Thompson, De Fles Winkel, Bucket Trade, should also be getting it in.

It's not the truth.. I've been told by several places they will have it. How much, who knows.. I'm not going out on Friday to look for it, might look around Saturday, but I'll be recovering from an epic bottle opening day on Thursday.

I'm not going to get all bent over the beer coming to GA. I've got good trade partners and can manage a half case without trying. I totally welcome being able to get it locally though. I'm sure I'll find a couple 4 packs without much fuss, even on the south side.

Not sure I should post this, but I can't keep it to myself. Both Toast Liquors and Beverage Outlet in Martinez GA (near Augusta) have 2014 BCBS and BCBBW on the shelf right now. Toast appeared to have about 3 cases of BCBS minus the four four packs I purchased. $21.49 per four pack. I just saw singles at Bev Outlet.

For NC peoples - do you think it's a good bet to go "all in" at Bestway in Greensboro for BC? I already know Glass Jug in Durham, NC is not getting it (but they will have a keg of BC on Black Friday) - Thanks!

Bestway will have it, but it is probably the most frequented craft place in GSO. Total Wine on High Point Rd. and TW battleground will have some, though I don't know about variants. Last year at TW I wasn't even looking for it and noticed it behind the counter and asked. There are a few other places in GSO that will have it which wont be as crazy and hyped as the Raleigh stores-- Bestway will probs be the first to sell out though. As always please do not take more than what you think is your fair share so others can try it.

LOL pretty sure what people "think is their fair share" is going to be whatever that store's per person limit is.

Eh I saw some dude bragging about picking up all three cases of Backwoods at one store because the owner didn't know/care to limit it. That's fine with me I'm not trying to police anyone, just saying I am always happy with one or two 4-packs of things like BCBS or KBS.
