I'm assuming interest in all things BCBS is pretty much officially dead at this point? I haven't really seen any postings about releases or Black Friday happenings for this anymore in SoCal. Haha.

    Has anyone else seen differently?

BCBS releases will still be better than pretty much anything any local brewery does around here.

Like most other AB products that rot on shelves, you can walk into the chains (BevMo and Total Wine) if you want to buy them.

Yeah... I’d rather spend my money on Bruery beers... and apparently that’s saying something now.

Let me know where to find variants. All I ever hear is how no one will buy them because they’re owned by AB. And yet, variants always sell out first day.

In LA, I scored a vanilla at Vendome Beverly Hills last year. Ive seen some at Whole Foods in the past, but that may have been a few years ago.
Hope others can add to this. I still love BCBS, was my first BA stout!

Agreed. BCBS is still a great stout priced well. Most of the variants are usually awesome as well.

Did you go to literally any BevMo or Total Wine? They were available for weeks at both.

The variants “sell out” quick until Budweiser sends a nice restock 2 months down the line, after which they turd it up for the rest of the year. My local bottle shop has had vanilla BCBS and other variants sitting for many, many months at this point.

The fact that it sits on shelves is more a factor of it falling off the hype train then any loss of quality. For me this is a plus, I can buy it when I see it with no fuss.

Like others have said, BCBS is a great beer that is reasonably priced.

I will be buying some and some variants this year, when I see them.

Do any spots do Black Friday tapping events anymore?

Yes. They had the chocolate orange one and that’s about it. They didn’t have vanilla or coffee.

Every BevMo and Total Wine from Newport to Torrance and back up to Studio City had both of those on shelves.

Wait two weeks until the second (larger) drop happens. Maybe people are buying them out on Black Friday, but that sits for several weeks immediately after.

I know a spot in Fullerton that has vanilla if you’re looking for it.

From what I've seen, it appears Wheatwine & Cafe de Olla will be the two variants most shops will receive. I've seen a few shops post the Mon Cheri variant and only one shop in LA to post the Reserve Rye.
