How many OZ is it? Will it hold a whole 12oz?

They need to be ballers like Founders with the CBS snifter and release one that will hold a whole fucking bomber of Rare. I'd do it.

that was a full pour in the glass, so...yes, holds a full 12oz. agreed, those mega snifters kill, but i'm pretty happy.

So you're saying I should ship my CBS snifter to you tomorrow for that BCBS snifter?

I may have said this already, not sure as I'm currently dunk at the moment. but these glass should be aviable online right now! Seems silly for me or anyone to be begging for a freaking glass! One that shout be out there and online to purchase. I mean come on there had to be a minium order or what a thousand of so? Another fine example of marketing bullshit!

    [facepalm]

The glass was a parting gift from Goose Island to entice people to pay for a $75 beer tasting. Just because you want one doesn't mean Goose Island owes it to you to make it available. The issue here is entitlement, not marketing ploys.

Couldn't agree more. I'm obviously searching for one, but would be completely content if the Black Friday allocation was the only time that they were made available.

Truth be known, if these glasses were easy to get then perhaps they wouldn't be so desirable.....CHEERS ALL

disagree. CBS snifter was pretty easy to get on several occasions and those are still pretty desirable. i do wish that most of these glasses were easily obtainable, but i don't think that if everyone could order a KBS glass or cantillon glassware online that the interest would dwindle. i am, however, surprised that some of these breweries don't take more advantage of the money to be made with these items.

I'm quite surprised that AB hasn't set up an online shop for Goose Island already. They are great at merchandising and surely must know that they will make more money from that.

I've been shocked and angered by how hard it is to buy paraphernalia from certain breweries. It is like they don't want free money. PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY.

I can understand smaller breweries not choosing to because it may be a hassle if they sell lots of merch and don't have the employees to handle the shipping or have to hire someone and then they also may not sell much so it may just be a hassle and not worth keeping track of and shipping random orders when they come in.

I saw 2 of these glasses get traded at the GI tasting (noon session) one was to me for my 09 BcBS bomber, the other was purchased off of someone for $25. I did hear another person asking $30.

Just kind of an idea of what you can expect to put up, IF someone is willing to let theirs go...it seems 98% are not willing to trade theirs though.

You joke, but that'a how I found my Fantome glass. Sure, the stem is a little jacked up, but still cool:

Funny, but if you look at the sport world anyone with an ounce of common sense knows just how much money there is in NFL team branded items. Making these glasses so hard to come by, is simply crap. sorry but crap it is.

Every time I see someone enjoying their beer in one of these glasses, I get so upset that I get another beer! One day my friends, one day I'll have one.

I emailed Goose asking if the snifters would ever be available to the public. For those too lazy to read, the abbreviated version is that we're shit out of luck:

"Reed here with Goose Island. Thanks for writing us about our Bourbon County Brand Stout. I hope you’ve been able to sample its complex, rich flavor since the release!

I read in your e-mail that you were asking about BCBS snifters. I’ve had a few e-mails from folks who saw our Black Friday tasting on Facebook and wanted to know more about them. I checked with a few departments and I was told that we won’t have snifters available to buy. I’m really sorry if this is a bummer to hear. From what I understand, they had some special glasses for the event, but nothing that was for sale.

If you’re still interested in some type of Goose Island glassware, all of our merchandise can be purchased directly from our brewpubs. I recommend giving our Clybourn and Wrigleyville locations a call to see if they have any cool glasses to enjoy our finely crafted ales in.

I’ve listed the contact information for both Clybourn and Wrigleyville below. Please keep in mind that our glassware sometimes has a high demand around the holidays and sells out quickly. Our pubs will be happy to ship you any glassware that is in stock or you can always stop by a pub to browse around if you make the trip from Wisconsin!

    Goose Island Wrigleyville

Thanks again for the email, Phil. If there is ever anything I can do for you in the future, feel free to get back in touch. I hope you can enjoy a smoky, robust Bourbon County Brand Stout with your friends and family again soon!

    Cheers,

    Reed
