    I imagine if you went down towards Acton/Concord there would be several stores that will get an allocation

    Couple places are starting to post their inventory;

    Gordon's (Waltham) - BCBS Regular (45 cases?) & Barleywine (5 cases) only. Limits TBD based on crowd at open.

    Burlington Wine & Spirits (Burlington MA) - BCBS Regular (6 cases) & Barleywine (2 cases) only. 1pp - either or, not both.

    As limited as New England is on BC I still don't think it'll be a problem to get regular the next day or later in the day. Without Coffee I don't really feel like I need to run around this year

    I'm only 20 minutes south of Boston and last year regular (even barley wine in a few spots) hung around on shelves for up to a week. I guess we'll see how this year looks with the reduced inventory, but I'm optimistic that it won't be too hard to come by.

    Anyone selling this in Boston yet? or is everyone respecting the Black Friday release?

    I'd assume most places will respect the Black Friday release. My guess is the stores that sell early do so simply because whoever got the shipment had no clue and figured it was another shelf beer

    Gotta say guys, BCBS is one of the best barrel aged stouts on the market no doubt - but I live in Brookline and frequent local package stores all the time more often than not just to browse, and recall seeing BCBS for months after Black Friday, probably including as recently as last month but don't quote me on that. Not the same for Barleywine but I did see it readily available well into the new year. No so with coffee.

    I also saw liquor stores stocking up on Goose IPAs and placing cases in prominent displays, and allocating the BC variant purchases based on IPA purchases, saying things like "support Goose Island..." This to me was AB InBev's marketing muscle machine madness at its best / worst and it really turned me off. I expounded on that in some other thread so I'll go lightly here for your sake...!

    But this year with only a very limited amount of coffee and no chance of getting Rare, Prop, Regal Rye or other variants, and knowing based on last year that the market will be flooded for months to come with BCBS to bank on, I still really don't see what all the fuss is about?

    I got a case of BCBS in Cambridge weeks after Black Friday. I'm hoping to do the same this year and avoid the Black Friday chase....especially in CT where they like to gouge like a mother ($25/bottle in some stores).

    Joshua Tree in Davis has various Bourbon Counties at random times. I think I had Regal Rye there a few months ago. And you'll see vintages of Bourbon County pop up from time to time.

    I have no idea if this is just a coincidence, or if they'll have this year's and/or variants on Friday.
