Black Friday Bourbon County release

Do you know if this is the Gordon's on Main or on Moody in Waltham? I assume Main, since the Moody one is.. shall we say.. downmarket

 

I'd assume Main St since that's where they released it last year - but they didn't specify on their Facebook post.

 

I know the Main st Gordons created a facebook event and claimed they had a limited amount of coffee despite claims that MA wasnt getting any.

 

The only place I saw the claim that MA is getting shut out on Coffee was here in this thread.

Conversely, I've spoken to two different liquor stores who tell me they've got a limited supply of Coffee available for Friday morning. And half a dozen other stores who normally get Coffee who say they only got a case or two of Barleywine and no Coffee this year.

 

I just inquired at Marty's in Newtonville, they will not be getting any coffee stout Friday.

Anyone know anywhere in Midcoast Maine that theyve seen it at before? Camden/rockland/belfast area, roughly.

 

I just bought a bottle of coffee today! Plus a regular BCBS. So we aren't getting shut out. Coffee was $13.99. I wanted the Barleywine, but they had none.

How have Gordon's BCBS releases been in the past? How many people are usually lined up?

 

Anyone been to Colonial Spirits in Acton for Black Friday release?

 

Last year was unique - the first 10 or so in line got a free pre-open tasting of OG rare, '15 Rare, plus more. They also had a ton of Regal, Coffee, and BW available. Even with all that, I'd say there were probably only 30ish people there at open.

Should be similarly easy (or easier) this year with the lack of Rye, no tasting event, and the infection issues from last year.

 

Apologies if this blows up anyone's secret spot, but Wegman's in Burlington says they've got a ton of variants (including last year's Regal and Rare!!!) ready to drop Friday, and I'd tend to believe them with how much GI they sell throughout the year.

I didn't believe it myself, but confirmed with the assistant manager today.

If anyone is there at open, I'd love to hear how it goes, and how much everything cost.

 

Managed to secure regular and barleywine, really hoping to get a coffee. Anyone seen or know of where it might be landing in the greater Dedham area?

 

I'd say there's a good chance Bin Ends in Braintree sees it. Where did you find the barleywine?

Store opens at 6am, liquor department is 8am. Get to wait inside at least!
