Any black Friday events anyone is going to or knows of? I have fond memories of going over to Hugh O'Neill's and having a great flight of stouts. Alas, no more taps like that there!

Hughs used to have BCBS and some of the variants, great rare stouts, and a little appetizer menu just for the day. I know there is a great place up in NH, but no way driving after a flight(s) of stouts!

I've been on the lookout and haven't seen much.

Julio's did an amazing Black Friday event last year in which your ticket was buying a 6 pack of Zombie Dust. it included first dibs on BC variants and other cool BA Stouts and Cantillon. They also were pouring kegs of Three Floyds Dark Lord Marshmallow Handjee 2024, The Bruery Black Tuesday Grand Reserve, Allagash The Cellars #12 and Jacks Abby Vintage Framinghammers. They weren't any limits on taster pours so I was happily lit up by the time I left.

There's a 100% chance I'll be there after the gym.

Used to live in Malden Center and the Hugh O'Neill's tap lists used to be legendary on Black Friday. Too bad they don't do that anymore... Definitely drank more than my share of the 2013 BCBS Coffee when that was on. The good old days...

Just posted this to the Beer Shelf thread, but might as well add my experience here as well...

Couldn’t make it to the landing today. We’re going to head over around open tomorrow. Typically most is left over so hoping that hasn’t change. Outside of maybe some BCBS bottles.

Looks like I need to get to this place, fast, and bring a driver!

Was a great time, and solid list this year as usual. Love the Veil, but man that was a let down. Everything is still available. It’s nice to chat with Alexa at the bar and her speak to how she does not want to price gouge and tries to be as fair as she can each year when ordering, given the price point. I can’t complain and feel it’s fair for that amount of options you can try at 4oz. Was nice to not have to drive today as a bonus ha. @jaxon53 you absolutely should.

Mixing in a 4oz pour of DDH Pliny The Elder for the hell of it didn’t suck either. Didn’t finish them all, but enjoyed the variety we got.

Yeah, it’s essentially a “don’t even fucking kid yourself about driving” kind of list. It’s just become a tradition everyone local to the area goes to. Used to chuckle when I’d go and sit with some friends whose family was off duty local York PD at the table. But you can order anything in 4oz pours and you just accept it’s a tasting. You’re probably not finishing 3/4 of what you order. It’s just a fun day and it’s such a great chance to try things you just don’t want to commit to buying a bottle of. Or opening a whole bottle of alone.

However, I’ll admit. My experience at the event say 10 years ago, is quite different compared to today. Slower speed for sure.
