Lucky enough to score tickets for Black Friday at Clybourn for the 12:00 p.m. session. Tried looking through the previous 2015 thread, but couldn't find any information on how these events are executed.

Anyone that went last year care to explain how the process went? Bottle sale first or do you get your pours first? I see that it's open to the public at 9:00 a.m. will those with tickets be in a different area? How packed do these events get?

Thanks ahead of time for the help!

Went last year. Seated event, brewers talk you through each beer and you get some dessert at the end. Plus a bottle of Prop.

Not sure how different this year will be, but I had a blast.

Thanks man! So the Prop will come at the end? I know the sessions are an hour and a half each, but I will need to head out of there a half an hour before my sessions over.

They gave you the bottle at the beginning in a bag.

I don't think it's worth the price of admission but that's just my opinion.

Well worth it in my opinion. $20 prop and $10 snifter included. Plus pours of 5+ BA stouts in a relaxed environment. Especially since I'll already be at LP Binnys.

You just get pours of BC and the variants. The others are available in the tap room. Small pours too. $10 a 5 oz pour essentially.

And I only say 5 oz pours because there are 4 BC's. It was less last year with 6 kinds.

I had no complaints. Worth it to hear and interact with the brewers.

    Insert infection stuff here.

Really looking forward to this event. Last year I went to Rare day but missed out on this event. This year I will miss out on Prop Day but will make this event.

Anyone else going to the noon time-slot?

I was able to get a ticket....10am though. Gonna need to be in line really early at binnys to make the even.

I skipped due to the price, $75 seems excessive for a bottle, glass and a few pours

Not worth it IMO unless you didnt get Prop tickets. That is the only real selling point of the event. Also. IIRC the Pub is open to the public that day with all the same beers on tap.

Agree - but that's a pretty large caveat. I (successfully) tried for a ticket because I didn't get one to the Prop event and I imagine I'm not alone.

I got one because I didn't get a prop day ticket and this will be my first BC release.

Whats everyones plans for that day? And how early should I camp out in front of Binny's? Would I be able to get another bottle after noon?

Someone said earlier people camp on Wednesday? Even with out rare, people will still camp 2 days?

My ticket is at 10am and would want to get a bottle of prop before the event.

Last year, we got a few plates of food, pours from the lineup, a snifter and the ability to get a bottle of Prop without having to stand in line. The ability to reduce/eliminate the need to stand in line provides a lot of value.

It was a few bite-sized desserts... "a few plates of food" is a bit misleading.

A select few idiots will camp two days. The smart ones will show up at 7 and get the exact same allocation.

You will most likley not make 10am unless you are one of the first couple hundred ppl in line. You are probably looking like a 2 or 3am line up.
