Black Friday Houston

Walked into Specs in Katy and got my beer around 2 pm. No lines thank you very much!

 

Called Bay Area specs last night just before closing and was told they still had some.. So drove 30 minutes to be there at 10 this morning and of course that person was wrong. Good times!

 

I was actually there talking with you guys for a while. I was the mexican dude with the Maroon polo hiding from the camera lol. Talked to Matt, Danzborin and a few others but I didn't want to introduce myself as Azzy and start a riot lol

 

For CLear Lake peeps.... it doesn't seem like our area HEB's have received it yet.. so hopefully we'll still get a chance.

 

Was anyone there or still in line when they ran out of BCBS? How many people got shut out?

Getting there early was actually pretty fun, hopefully next year they cut the line off so people don't wait for nothing... I'm bringing a 50 gallon drum to make a "Politically Correct Domicile Lacking Individual" fire... apparently calling it a "hobo fire" gave the wrong connotation.

 

The line kept growing and was still almost out the door when they ran out, but I think everyone who got there by 10 got some. I know Joey kept asking people what time they got there to gauge things, and I heard a response of "9:30" about 20 or 30 people before he ran out.

 

Man that sucks, every time I call that store I seem to get someone who doesn't know anything about beer. If you don't score some hit me up, I have a couple bottles for you.

 

Just got a 32 oz growler fill for. $32 at. D&T. Drive inn

 

Rip off of the year, lol.

That's the equivalent of $48/4pack.

 

It's 10/ 8 oz serving at bars..

 

No the rip off of the year was when I went Whip In get a 64 oz growler of Primus and they wanted to charge me $44.

 

I paid 10 bucks for a 6 oz pour of barrel aged Ten Fidy at Hopfields earlier this week. Felt bad man.

 

That's ridiculous. $14 at Growler's.

Thanks bro.. I'll keep trying to score though so you can hopefully keep all of that deliciousness to yourself. I'm hoping our HEB's will get some.

 

Is this straggling anywhere or is Houston completely dry? If you have info, please message me.

 

A few of the HEBs around town have said they didn't get their shipment Friday and would be releasing it Monday. Hubbel & Hudson in the Woodlands got a few cases and they're releasing them Tuesday.

Same boat my friend. Spent black friday in the desolate College Station. Came back to Clear Lake to more BCBS desolation.
