I will be driving through Kentucky during Black Friday on my way back to Indiana. I will be passing through Lexington and Louisville. I should be on 64 the entire trip back to Evansville. Just wondering if I can get any recommendations on what cities to stop in and which liquor stores would give me a good chance to score BCBS/ variants as well as other craft beers Thanks a lot in advance.
Apparently alot of markets, Nashville included, is getting alot less this year than last year. Last year Nashville got every variant except Proprietors, like everyone. This year we get regular BCBS and Barleywine...none of the others...and the allotment is less than half of what we got last year.
Where are the best places in nashville to find it? Frugal's? Also, does it go very quickly around Nashville?
Will it be in TN on Black Friday this year? Last year it arrived in mid-December. OP, in the Louisville area, I heard that the Liquor barns on putting it on sale at 9:00am. Across the river in Indiana, Keg Liquors will have all variants except Prop and start selling at 10am. Happy hunting. I will sadly be in Alabama for Thanksgiving, so I'm hoping for another late release in Tennessee so I can get some.
Liquor Barns in both Lexington and Louisville will have BC, but it will go on sale at 9 am and I hear you'd better be in line a few hours early. Red Dot in Frankfort is a possibility, but I don't know if they will be getting much/any.
Well by my time schedule I should be hitting Lexington around 9 am. Where should be my first stop. Thanks for all the replies
Wow, so no Coffee or Backyard Rye? That sucks... I was able to pick up the base beer and the barleywine last year plus these 2... Not sure I will be standing in line for this....
I got 3 bottles at Shenanigans in Franklin KY - they may still have some left. I'm not sure if BG got their shipment yet; the person at BG LB didn't seem to know much.
I didn't get a chance to stop until late in the afternoon. Went to a liquor barn in Lexington but they were sold out. The beer manager ended up selling me two barleywines though that a customer had claimed but never came to pick up. My local Indiana store held me a couple bottles of regular as well. Not a big score but at least not empty handed.
I went to five places and 'won' the right to buy a single bottle in a raffle from a sixth. Ended up with 9 Regular, 4 Coffee, and a Barleywine.
It seems like Kentucky just didn't get as much this year of not just the variants, but the regular as well.
Our distributor that handles Goose Island in this area said they didn't get any of any the base beer. I thought they were lying just to not give any to our local stores but who knows.
