Looks like Spec's will get most of Austin's allocation:

Care to clarify or leave that vague? You're not contributing anything here.

Last year, I was hearing that there were only about 5 stores across the state that would be getting any BCBS. That turned out to not be true.

My guess, VR will only be at event sites on Black Friday...meaning, if you want it on Friday, you have to go to an event. Otherwise, hold off until it hits the normal distribution spots the next week.

i just hope i can pick up VR somewhat painlessly, and not have to trade something for it

I am not going to be back in Dallas until Sunday, I am wondering what the odds are that these will be released everywhere in the city/state on Friday, or if some will come later...

I haven't gotten a whole lot of info from anyone about the Bourbon County release. The answer pretty much is "we'll know on Friday". The most solid answer I got was from total wine in Vegas, who will be getting coffee and regular for sure.

Curious about this too. I think my best bet is to assume I'll miss it and stumble across it 2-3 months later at some hole in the wall.

I'd like to try a pour of the vanilla rye, but I would also rather cut off my left nut than be near the highways around work quitting time the day before Thanksgiving in DFW.

Any better idea how available bottles of VR are going to be?

Definitely lol. I don't know why all these events are at 4 PM on week days. Just doesn't make any sense to me really. It's going to be ridiculously crowded regardless however.

I think you answered your own question. If they were at prime times they'd just be a total shitshow.

Yep. Even though Craft and Growler is always a shit show for tap takeovers, I went for the Goose Island takeover with the bourbon county stuff. They allowed growler fills and everything except for the Barley Wine was gone in some crazy amount of time like 10 minutes

They should cater to the educationally semi-employed and shoot for around noon or so. I'd brave the elements at that hour. Is that asking too much?

What would be best place to get this in San Antonio? Specs De Zavala or Total Wine?

Probably De Zavala...next week. We always get shit late.

Is there any place in the New Braunfels area that has a chance of getting it?

*assuming nothing kegged; if you want to be conservative, divide by 2.

To put in perspective, Abyss has been around the 400 barrel mark for a while.
