What would it take to land either or both versions of this beer? Is it easier or more difficult to get than Mexican Cake? It doesn't appear to be traded with much frequency. Any help is much appreciated.

The Panthers were much more limited in quantity and had VERY, VERY limited distribution. It is likely to be significantly more difficult to land than MC, but I don't think it reached whale status. They were 15 bucks each at the brewery, but I doubt they trade $4$ unless you're offering a limited, brewery only type bottle. Not sure if it's a one-off or will be brewed again, but since it's at the least batch 1, one problem is that the amount of bottles out there is decreasing. I still have one of each, but my plan is to enjoy them. A lot of the guys I know that had them have either moved them or consumed them. Hope this helps and good luck.

I've also wondered about these bad boys, think I even put up a late-night drunken ISO for them a while back. Thanks for the info here so far.

After having Trickery this past weekend, I'm pretty much ISO any and all apple-brandy aged beers I can find.

More info that may be helpful for evaluating. The bottles were 6 bottle limits and sold for 3 or 4 days at the brewery. I think the production was something like 3,000 bottles each variant. The BA Cap'n Skoon is often thought to be a part of the "set" so that should be clarified in negotiation.

As an example of something that may pull it:

1:1 with Huna, ANTEAD, BASC, BASS, Beyond Good and Evil, Fen Tao...

those are just some bottles I would think would be able to go 1:1 for them. I may be wrong though.

In my experience, these actually trade way higher than this. I ended up getting them and two other bottles for a bottle of pappy rye, but i had been iso for a while, offering jk fruits, upland, huna, bo and luke, etc. It would be great if you could land them with these, but I failed at trading things along this level for them. Also, I think Bourbon is way easier to attain than Apple Brandy. Although these numbers aren't necessarily accurate, there are 4 gots for AB panther and 23 for bourbon.

I seem to recall 600 (50cases) per variant sold at the brewery not 3,000. Westbrook isn't going to hold 20 barrels of something. Hell, all the BA cakes we're in the neighborhood of only 12 barrels and that's a tried and true brew

50-60 cases seems about right. It was all sold or sent to distro

I put up an ISO:FT with Atrial, BA Imperial Biscotti Break, Hibernal, Enlightened Despot, Bo and Luke (first batch) among others and I got crickets.

Just an FYI but Bo & Luke and BBIBB were both distro'd here. May explain it to a degree.
