It's an absolute blast. It's waaaaay too early for suggestions; there will likely be 100+ more events posted by Jan 11.

I had like two of these last year, so I'm certainly interested as to when it hits the general store. Absolutely worth the drive across the state.

Cool, sounds like it would be a blast. I was curious if more events would be held...schedule does appears a little light at the moment. tx

It's so popular so that if you want to attend a beer dinner you'd better be making reservations as soon as they are announced.

Oftentimes the beer dinners aren't announced until a day or two before they occur though, haha.

I certainly hope black note is released this year, a favorite for sure.

What will make it harder for FIB's if I remember currently last year, the first bit of BN came out following the 750's unannounced and was sold out within the day. Then right at beer week time (1-2 weeks post ) they did have a ton of it inclusive of the Bells Snow Run. I liked the staggered release as I didn't get any the first round. Also it was a one case limit, and bottles were gone within the week at Kzoo retailers, unless you were charging $9 per single bottle like some shops were.

Lol on the Proprietors and let's not forget the Coffee. We got the sham on that release.

I would appreciate a BM on BN. Would be a nice drive from Sterling Heights but well worth it.

Haha No proprietors here, I traded my only bottle for some coffee bcs which apparently the burbs got screwed out of.

Are you above bribery and/or flattery? Perhaps an agreement can be made...you know, quell the bad blood between our respective states lol

That's a nice attitude for a community of beer advocates.

Yes more snow and in a wider variety of colors. And the higher chance of a spin-off does make for a more exciting drive.

Whenever I compare Bell's special events to Founders it seems that Black Note makes more frequent appearances than KBS. Almost like Bell's wants people to have it on tap and not go crazy and hunt all around for it in bottles the way people do with KBS.

Almost same scenario for me, in the NW burbs. Was able to get 1 12oz bottle in Jan at the Liquor Barn in Wheeling.

Sorry, sarcasm doesn't always resonate via text. The only reason I responded is that I don't understand the whole secret society "me first" attitude. I don't hide my sources or try and hoard anything, I stick to my limited budget and try and steer my beer loving friends in the right direction. If I shipped trades I'd gladly spread all the Illinois/Chicago goodness I could.

Edit: on that note if I should miss bn I'd gladly set up an extensive ip trade when I head to MI to visit my sister for anyone who may be interested.

Isn't that the place with the $70 Bramble? And checking their Beermenus, $30 Big John?

Hope they gave you some lube, too.
