black note release?

    "2012 blacknote" was released in January 2013 (bottled on 12/28/12)

    No one can confirm BN will be released again, but that doesn't stop irresponsible speculation and wild accusations.

    Actually, I'm fairly certain you're thinking of the one in Oak Lawn (http://www.beermenus.com/places/4621-cardinal-liquor-barn). They definitely had the $70 Bramble and were selling 2012 BCBCS for something like $50. They are literally three blocks from my house and I can't remember the last time I bought anything there.

    I've also been to the Cardinal in Niles, which is a very decent shop, IMHO.

    I just had my first Black Note tonight and given it had a year on it the beer was wonderful. It is one of the most amazing beers I tasted this week. That might not sound like much but I was lucky enough to taste three of the best stouts I have had all year in the last couple of days (Prairie Bomb, Saint Arnold Bishops 5). Man it has been a great beet week. I sure hope they make more or I need to score a bomber. What's the trade value of a bomber of Black Note? I just had a 12oz and it blew my mind.

    I was told that the dull glow eminating from the iPad of a FIB wandering in front of the General Store caused Larry Bell to see his shadow, and as a result there will be no Black Note for another 6 weeks.

    You've obviously never talked to Larry. Great guy, I have been a grateful recipient of his generosity on more than one occasion but he is definitely not that generous.
